A Week Off and the Tiny House Bike Tour 2013

Pedalpalooza is a big deal in Portland, with weeks of special/themed bike rides, parkway rides, etc. to celebrate Portland’s bike culture. Last year we went on the Tiny House bike tour just for fun, never believing at that time that we would actually be  building our own by the same time next year. Funny how much change a year brings. There weren’t as many stops this year, but there were some very interesting developments, and the grand finale was the Tiny House Hotel, first of its kind! It was located right off of NE Alberta, next door (ever-so-conveniently) to the Grilled Cheese Grill, and all very bike-friendly. They told us in a few weeks they will have a website up and running, but the hotel is officially open for business as of now. Here is the afternoon in pictures:

And the happiest thing of the day – we ran into a couple we already *kinda* know who have a Powermover, which we will need BADLY very soon, and they are open to renting it to us! Squee!
